My daughter is travelling and took out a Caxton Currency Card. She logged authoirity for me to speak to them whilst she was away in case of an emergency. I can honestly say I have never experienecd such an ineffciient company with such poor customer service. Last Friday my daughter contacted me to advise she had lost or had her card stolen. I contacted Caxton immediately but was told no one was avialble to speak to me or deal with it. I was told someone would call me back.
I waited patiently for 90 mins and then phoned back, same reply Three hours later I phone again I am told again everyone is busy. It is now Monday evening and after making at least 7 calls and a urgent email I have yet to speak to anyone, cancel her card or have a replacement issued.

This is on top of querying why her card was beiung rejected in Zambia a few weeks before, although there were funds on it. This took over a day to resolve and having been promised Caxton would call her in Zambia of course they never did I only got to the bottom of it as I repeatedly called them. Again they never bothered to return my calls. They are clearly not fit to offer such a service and I would strongly recommend you look at alternatives even if they are more expensive.
You cannot rely on any support wahtsoever.
Would be surpirsed if they exist in a year. Thanks for the update PaulH I am still in the UK and waiting for them to respond to a phone call and email of 24 hours ago. I've just ordered a new card for use in s. Waiting time is 3 - 5 days I believe. It is the first time I have used Caxton, fingers crossed all goes well.

I'll report results when I return. I use Caxton which is good in Europe. I could not do it online as before. This was a huge pain and I simply used my bank debit card which cost hardly any different as I was getting closer to the base rate, even if the fee was a little higher - mitigated.
